Scrappin' Saturday...

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to you!  I told you a day or two ago that I was going to start something new on Saturdays and here I am today to show you what I gonna do...it has something to do with memories!!!

While I do have all of my pictures organized at this moment, I am WAY behind on getting them in to books!  I still need to do my five adult children's high school scrapbooks, my daughters wedding and the two that still live at home...I have EVERYTHING to do!  As a way to get me to get back to scrapbooking and hopefully to INSPIRE you as well, I'm going to add Scrappin' Saturday to my blog!  Every week I am going to make at least one layout and on Saturday's I will share my work with you! This will be a huge challenge for me...but I'm ready for it!  Let's start right now!

My youngest daughter LOVED to dress up!  She especially loved The Little Mermaid.  She dressed up as The Little Mermaid three years straight for Halloween.  Here is just one example!

The background of this page is a 12" x 12" piece of Tranquil Textures designer paper.  I chose it because I think it looks like water.  I then cut an 8 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock for my base mat.  Next I used a 8" x 8" piece of Whisper White cardstock along with my Prussian Blue and Moss Green Brusho Crystals to make another background...attaching it to the Tranquil Tide Base.  I stamped the sentiment from the Magical Mermaid stamp set onto a Stitched Shapes Framelit Circle and used the Under the Sea Framelits to make all of the embellishments along the sides!  I LOVE how it turned out....she's a BEAUTIFUL little mermaid!  I'm excited to do more pages!

Broadway Birthday Cupcake Box!

Good Morning ya'll!  Hope you're having a great day! I just had a guy here blowing insulation into our garage.  Since I have taken over the workshop for classes and soon retreats again, my husband wanted the garage to be warmer (and cooler) for him!  They were in and out in less 30 minutes!  I'm super excited for the hubby!

You might know (if you follow me on Facebook) that my daughter makes cupcakes once a week to sell at one of our local coffee shops!  Well...a friend wanted a Carrot Cake cupcake for her daughter-in-law for her birthday and my daughter wanted a cute box to put it in!  Here's what we both came up with!

My daughter made a jumbo cupcake so I had to make a bigger box than I normally make. Sadly, I didn't write down my measurements so I have to recreate it!  I'll do this after Christmas and share the new project with the measurements...I think it will make a good Tuesday's Tip video!  

Unfortunately, I cannot get you a cupcake either...well, unless you live in Weaverville or Redding!  

Here's what I used the Broadway Birthday designer paper, Real Red & Basic Black cardstock and the Happy Birthday Thinlit Die.  

Isn't this a fun and cute way to give a BIRTHDAY CUPCAKE?

Broadway Birthday Card

Hello everyone!!!  My internet has been down all morning so I’ve now decided to post using my phone!   My husbands birthday was on Thanksgiving but I never shared his birthday card!   It’s created with the Broadway Birthday Designer paper!  I also used the Gil Foil Edged cards and envelopes!  He loved it!!!

Isn’t it a fun card?  It’s teally simple too!!!

Good Morning Everyone!  I'm up and at it early this morning and want to share another Twelve Weeks of Christmas project with you!  This project is SUPER SIMPLE an SUPER CUTE!!

WEEK TEN

Merry Christmas to All with Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape created with Stampin' Up! products All images © 1990-2018 Stampin’ Up!®  Supplies: Stamps: Merry Christmas to All (147702), Touches of Texture (141934-wood or 143251-clear) Ink: Cherry Cobbler (147083), Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad (147277), Whisper White Refill (101780) Cardstock and Paper: Crumb Cake (120953), Shimmery White (101910), Silver Glimmer Paper (146960), Wood Textures 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper Miscellaneous: Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape (148079), Garden Green Baker’s Twine (147814), Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes (147811), Pinewood Planks Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143708), Bethlehem Edgelits (144676), Banner Triple Punch (138292), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Mini Glue Dots (103683), household stapler Measurements: Crumb Cake: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” and folded in half Shimmery White: 1” x 3-1/2” Washi Tape: five strips in increasing lengths 1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2”, 3” and 3-1/2” Wood Textures tree trunk: 4-1/2” x ½” Silver Glimmer Paper: 2” x 1-1/2” Baker’s Twine: about 9” Instructions: Stamp card base front with Whisper White ink and splatter image from Touches of Texture to simulate snowfall. Affix sentiment to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Sprinkle tree and sentiment with Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes as desired. Star Wars & Batman FUN!

Hello Everyone!  How's your day going so far?  I haven't gotten a thing done today...kind of feeling down in the dumps! Totally feeling overwhelmed about decorating for Christmas this year and I LOVE Christmas...it's my favorite time of year!  I've got to get out of this funk!  

Needless to say, I didn't get my Tuesday's Tip Video made this morning...but I do have a really couple of really cute cards to share with you today!  Each month I make Christmas cards for the folks at our church.  This month there are two special little boys celebrating their special days...brothers, but not twins!  I had to create something extra special, one with a Batman theme and one with a Star Wars theme.  OF COURSE I went to Pinterest for INSPIRATION!!!

I LOVE Pinterest, but I really like to create "my own" cards.  I needed to get these cards made quickly and there were some GREAT ideas for both themes so I used the wisdom I found there and added a few of my own touches!  Punch Art is so FUN!!

Here's what I made!!!  I think they are SO VERY CUTE!! I think I'll have to create my own tutorial...or maybe a Tuesday's Tip Video!

·         Card Stock – Whisper White (100730), Cherry Cobbler (119685), Mossy Meadow (133676), Gray Granite (146983)

·         Stamp Pads – Cherry Cobbler (126966), Gray Granite (147118)

·         Misc. – Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), SNAIL adhesive (104332), Festive Farmhouse designer series paper (147820), Big Shot (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), Stitched Shapes framelits (145372), Metallic Sequins Assortment (144214), Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (144106), Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309)

Measurements: 

·         Whisper White: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”; 3 1/4” x 5 1/4”; 2 3/4” square, 3” x 1”

·         Cherry Cobbler: 4” x 2 1/2”

·         Mossy Meadow: two pieces 1 1/2” x 1”

·         Festive Farmhouse: 1/2” x 5 1/4”

·         Gray Granite: 3” x 1/2”

Instructions:

1.       Create Whisper White card base.

2.       Adhere Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to back of Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow layers, using SNAIL adhesive.

3.       Diecut Whisper White Stitched Shapes circle, Cherry Cobber ‘Merry”, and two Mossy Meadow swirls.

4.       Stamp Gray Granite swirls onto Whisper White layer.

5.       Adhere Festive Farmhouse strip across Whisper White layer using SNAIL adhesive. Adhere Whisper White circle on top.

6.       Ink Merry Christmas phrase using Cherry Cobbler ink; diecut out. Adhere to Gray Granite strip, using SNAIL adhesive, and then to card front.

7.       Remove Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets from Mossy Meadow swirls and “Merry” phrase. Add swirls and “Merry’ to card front, slightly overlapping Merry Christmas phrase.

8.       To complete card adhere three Metallic stars to card front using Fine Tip Glue Pen.
