#simplestamipng Sunday

Hello everyone!  FINALLY...I'm getting a chance to blog!  It's been a busy Cinco de Mayo at my house!  Company just left and the husband is in bed...kids are doing their own thing...so now I want to share my latest #simplestamping card.  Our May challenge is to use Ink, Paper and a FAVORITE retiring stamp set!

One of my favorite stamp sets is Touches of Texture.  I'm really going to miss it! I used it yesterday on a scrapbooking page and thought...HEY...that would be a great stamp set for the #simplestamping May Stampin' Up! challenge!

First...I stamped the splotchy background in Highland Heather ink then the flower in Memento Black ink. Once I had the flower on there I used another splotchy background to stamp at the bottom right and the alphabet stamp to stamp on the left!  I didn't add a sentiment but any can be used...Happy Birthday, Thank You, Hello, Missing You, Thinking of You....!!!

The skies the limit and it was SO VERY EASY!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing me to share with you this evening!  I hope you have a fun and smooth week coming up!  I'll be back in the morning with a FUN "Make-It Monday" tutorial!!

REMEMBER...use May's hostess code KBW6KJ4T and place a minimum order of $50 (before tax and shipping) and you will also receive the gift pictured below...FREE from me!

Scrappin' Saturday - Butterfly Shoes

Hello scrappin' friends!! I'm sure you all know that today is National Scrapbooking DAY! I had to get at least one page done today!  I just realized I haven't scrapped since February!  UGHH!!!

Well...here it is!  HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!!

When my daughter, Kate, was little she had a FAVORITE pair of black shoes that had a cute little bow on top.  She thought the bows looked like butterflies and called them her BUTTERFLY SHOES!  She wore them constantly...no matter what her outfit! This was a FUN page to create...I so enjoyed the memories!

To create this page I used my Aqua Painter to add Gorgeous Grape ink as the background.  After creating the background I used the Timeless Textures, Touches of Texture and Butterfly Gala stamp sets to add to the background.  I sanded the each side of my photos with a padded fingernail file to show white edges. Next, I cut Basic Black cardstock with the Delicate Lace Edgelit Dies.  Last, I cut banners with my Rectangle Stitched framelits in Basic Black, Highland Heather and Gray Granite cardstock.  I printed the title with my computer onto Gray Granite cardstock.  I just LOVE how it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my latest scrapbooking page!  I hope it INSPIRES you to get your pictures out and get started! Have a FANTASTIC evening and rest of your weekend!!

Ride a Bike...#GDP132

Hello everyone!  I hope you have had a WONDERFUL weekend! We went to see Miracle Game yesterday as a family and I cried through the entire movie! It was really good! I also got the taxes completed AND found some TREASURES at Rust & Roses!

I don't normally post on weekends, but yesterday was our Stampin' for Others Facebook Hop and today I really want to enter a challenge!  I want to start doing this more often as it gets me out of my comfort zone, but it also helps me think out of the box!!

The challenge I'm entering is with  the Global Design Project.  Here is a link to that challenge so you can see other entries.... #GDP132 ...I know you will find many great creations!

First, I'd like to show you the challenge card! It's ABSOLUTELY LOVELY!  I LOVE the Petal Palette stamp set as you can tell by my last couple of posts!

Here is my entry...I hope you are INSPIRED to create! I wanted to think out of the box so I basically CASE'd (copy and selectively edit) the design!

My card base is Pool Party cardstock with the first layer a  4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock.  I used my "E" acrylic block to stamp onto a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I did this by using my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to "paint" my block then spritzed it with water using the Stampin' Spritzer and stamped it directly onto the Whisper White cardstock.  I LOVE this look! While it was drying I stamped my bicycle with the Ride a Bike stamp set.  It is stamped in Bermuda Bay and cut out with the Build a Bike framelits. These currently can be purchased as a bundle through my store!!  I stamped the wheels in Memento Black and Pool Party inks and cut them out (along with the Basic Black seat) using the same framelits! I attached the bike and wheels with dimensionals!  The sentiment is from the from the Wherever You Go stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black ink. I added some texture by stamping the blotches using the Touches of Texture stamp set and Crushed Curry ink. Last I added a heart from the Subtles Enamel Shapes embellishments.  I really LOVE how it turned out and hope you do too!

THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today!  You know I LOVE sharing what I LOVE to do...with YOU!!  I'll keep you posted on how I do in the challenge!

REMEMBER....use hostess code  MRS4BR22 and place a minimum $50 order (before tax and shipping)...and receive the gift pictured below FREE!
