Comfort & Hope

Good Morning everyone!  I hope you are all well, safe and warm!!  Oh man...I'm feeling invigorated!  I just got back from a run/walk with a girlfriend.  She wants to do a half marathon in the fall so I said I'll train with you! CRAZY idea I know!  We walked on Tuesday and today we ran and walked.  I was so fearful that I wouldn't be able to do it but I did.  For a mile or so I ran for 30 seconds walked for 60 seconds!  YAY ME!!!  I'm so excited!

I had a class yesterday and there were 10 ladies there!  It was WONDERFUL!  Two of them didn't even make all their cards...they just visited and visited!  They hadn't seen each other since Covid started.  My heart felt so much joy seeing it!  It's not about the cards we make...it's about the connections, the friendships.  I LOVE WHAT I DO!!

Today I have a beautiful card to share with you!  The colors are GORGEOUS!  I hope it INSPIRES you to create!

·         Stamp Sets – Comfort & Hope Cling Stamp Set (English) [152509] , Art Gallery Bundle [156227]

·         Card Stock – Basic White [159276] , Poppy Parade [119793], Bumblebee [153077]

·         Stamp Pads – Poppy Parade [147050] , Cherry Cobbler [147083] , Versamark Pad [102283]

·         Misc. – Fine Art Floral 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 Cm) Designer Series Paper [154558] , Stitched So Sweetly Dies [151690] , 2020–2022 In Color Stampin' Write Marker Assortment [153125] , Multipurpose Liquid Glue [110755] , Stampin' Dimensionals [104430] , Clear Block D [118485] , Heat Tool [129053] , White Stampin' Emboss Powder [109132] , Pearl Basic Jewels [144219], Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine [149653]

 

Measurements: 

·         Basic White: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, plus scrap piece for die cuts

·         Poppy Parade: 4” x 5 ¼” , ¾” x 2 ¾”

·         Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 3 7/8“ x 5 1/8”,  ¾” x 2 ½”

·        Bumblebee: ¾” x 3”

 

Instructions:

 

1.    Fold Basic White card stock in half to create card base.

2.    Place large scallop rectangle die from Stitched So Sweetly collection on centre of Poppy Parade card stock and run through Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Save the die cut for another project and glue the 4” x 5 ¼” Poppy Parade card stock to front of card.

3.    Place second largest scallop rectangle die from Stitched So Sweetly collection on centre of 3 7/8“ x 5 1/8” Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper and run through Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Save the die cut for another project and glue the Designer Series Paper to front of card.

4.    Stamp “Comfort & Hope” onto to Bumblebee card stock with Versamark and emboss in white. Flag end and glue to card.

5.    Stamp grid image from Comfort & Hope set onto ¾” x 2 ¾”  Poppy Parade card stock with Versamark and emboss in white. Flag end and glue to card.

6.    Flag ¾” x 2 ½” strip of Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper and place onto card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add three Basic Pearls.

7.    On scrap piece of Basic White card stock stamp flowers with Poppy Parade Ink Pad and the second detail image over top with Cherry Cobbler ink pad.

8.    Use Just Jade and Bumblebee markers for the leaves, stems and tiny flowers. Cut with coordinating dies and adhere to front of card – using Stampin' Dimensionals under a couple of the flowers. Trim off any stem bits that go past the Designer Series Paper.

Optional: flick on Crumb Cake ink with a Water Painter if desired.
