Fourteen Days of Love - Day 3

Good Morning and HAPPY Friday! Are you ready for your weekend? Are you hosting a FOOTBALL party? My son wants to have a few friends over to watch the game...I guess that means I need to have some snack food around...and sodas!! Have FUN whatever you are doing...and be SAFE!!! 

Today is Day 3 of my Fourteen Days of Love projects! You might recognize it from a few days ago because I've already shared it here! WHAT WAS I THINKING?  It's such a CUTE...EASY treat holder that I had to give it to my loves today!

Here are the three that I made for today! One for my hubby with Dark Dove Chocolate, one for my son with the Cherry Kisses and one for my daughter with Milk Chocolate Dove hearts! YUMMY!!! They are ABSOLUTELY loving getting their teats!

This cute little bag is quick and easy to make! You'll need a 6" X 6" piece of designer paper, (I used the Sending Love Designer Paper Pack). It's item #142733, it's $10.00 and it's Stampin' UP!'s most popular item right now! You get 48 double sided pieces of 6" X 6" pieces of paper so you can make 48 of these cute little bags! My daughter and I are going to make them for her class at school and fill them with candy!

To make the bag score your paper at 1 3/8", 2 3/4", 4 1/8" and 5 1/2". Turn the paper and score it at 1 3/8" only.  

I used Mini paperclip and tied a piece of Linen Thread around it to close the bag.  I stamped my sentiment using the Sealed with Love stamp set, onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it into a banner.  Next I used a scrap of the Sending Love designer paper to cut another banner and slipped both banners under the paperclip!  CUTE and SIMPLE!!

Here you can see the score lines (a different paper from the same pack) and how I cut the bottom of the bag up to the 1 3/8" score line.  I also cut the small, rectangle corner all the way out!

Just another look at the cuts! Next you just fold on the score lines, fold it and adhere it together.  Fold all the flaps up at the bottom and adhere (I use Tear and Tape for strength). Pinch the bag together at the top and put the mini paperclip on to keep it closed...AFTER you've filled it with your treat...OF COURSE!!!
