Peaceful Noel....with a FUN SURPRISE!!!!

Good morning!  Oh man...I'm cold this morning and I'm NEVER cold!  It's suppose to start raining about noon...wish it was now because it would be snowing!  I love it when it snows, but it never lasts long...a day or two, maybe a week!  Well...I hope you are all well and find a bit of time to create today!  I have a FUN, SIMPLE card to share with you today...but you can't make it yet...you don't have the tools!
Look closely...do you see anything new?  It's SUPER COOL and I'm so EXCITED!  To you give up?  Do you see those Stitched Rectangles?  YES!!!! Stitched Rectangle dies are coming in the Occasions Catalog!  I LOVE them and I think you will too!

For this card I have a Whisper White card base.  I used the largest stitched framelit to cut a piece of Granite Gray cardstock for the first mat.  Next I cut Real Red and Coastal Cabana Stitched Rectangles and adhered them with dimensionals.  I stamped on a Whisper White Stitched Circle using the Peaceful Noel stamp set with Real Red and Granny Apple Green ink.  I added a Real Red bow, some linen thread and a few pearls to finish it off!

You know how I LOVE my Stitched Shapes framelits...I have three sets so I can cut faster when prepping classes!  You'll definitely be seeing more projects with the Stitched Rectangle framelits!

Hey...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day and have a FANTASTIC weekend!!!

Flowering Desert Swiped Background Sunset

Good morning friends!  How’s you day going so far?  Can you believe it’s almost the weekend again!  Yesterday I had my last Shadow Box class...such a great project!  I can’t wait to make my next one!  I also had my DOTK  Christmas party at church!  It was so much fun!  We had tamales for dinner, had a Christmas sock gift exchange and played Family Feud Christmas!  I had a blast!

I have a BEAUTIFUL card I want to share with you today using the sunset background from my Tuesday’s Tip video this week!   I think it’s just gorgeous!  I’m gonna send it to my son and his girlfriend who live in Arizona!!

This card gives you a sneak peek at a new stamp set in the upcoming Occasions Catalog!  It’s called Flowering Desert and I LOVE it!!!

The colors I used to swipe the background are Crushed Curry, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade and Gorgeous Grape!

After creating my background and heat embossing the desert plants with black embossing powder onto a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of   Glossy Whire cardstock, I adhered it to a 4  1/8” x 5 3/8” piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Next I adhered it to my Basic Black card base.

Isn’t it GORGEOUS?  I do hope you’ll give it a try!  Thanks so very much for stopping by today!! Have a terrific rest of your day!!!

Tuesday's Tip - STUNNING Swiped Backgrounds for cards or scrapbooks

Hello my crafty friends!  Thanks for joining me today!  I'm so excited to share my Tuesday's Tip video with you today!  A wonderful friend sent me a lovely card...THANKS JAN!!...with a really cool technique!  I hope you enjoy my video, follow my YouTube Channel and share it with your friends!  All the details are below!!

I was delighted to receive this card in the mail a week or so ago!  I absolutely LOVE it when my friends and customers share their talents with me!  I LOVED the background immediately and thought that she brushed it with Stampin' Pad's but of course, I had to message her to make sure that's what she did!  Sure enough...that's the technique!!

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE IT!!!???!!!

Naturally, I had to create my own card using this technique!  My card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Night of Navy cardstock. Layer one is a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The background is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Glossy White and the colors I used to swipe it are Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, Tranquil Tide and Shaded Spruce.  The tree is cut with the Winter Woods framelits and the star is cut with the Bethlehem Edgelits Dies.  The sentiment is from the His Light stamp set.  I added a bit of sparkle by adding some rhinestones!  The tree, the star and the sentiment are all attached with dimensionals!

Here are a few other backgrounds that I created!  I plan on using our a new stamp set coming out in January with the sunset background...HINT...it has a cactus!!!

Well...that was really FUN!!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great rest of your day!  I'm heading back out to my workshop to do some more creating!
