Burlap and Falling Flowers...

Hello my stampin' friends! Golly...it's been so busy the last couple of days that I have not had a chance to blog!  I was planning on catching up yesterday after my workshop down in Redding, but when I got home my mother-in-law called.  She had fallen on her morning walk and fractured her shoulder. This is gonna be a tough one. Apparently there is nothing they can do for it but sling it and the doctor told her to move it (make circles with her arm several times a day) so that it doesn't freeze up.  It's her right shoulder and she is right handed and it hurts her terribly. NO FUN...NO FUN!!!

I went to bed feeling like I was getting a cold...or maybe allergies. I've been downing my Vitamin C's but in the middle of the night it was full blown...scratchy throat, stuffed up nose, headache...YUCK.  I pray that I didn't pass it on to any of my ladies yesterday!

Well...I'm up and around so I thought I'd share one of the projects we made at yesterdays class!

This THANK YOU card has a Whisper White card base. The first layer is Basic Black with the next layer being in Whisper White again. I stamped the background using the Burlap stamp with Smoky Slate ink and the Falling Flowers stamp set with Island Indigo ink. I used my Stitched Shapes framelits to cut an oval and stamped the Burlap background on it too, again in Smoky Slate ink.  The sentiment is from the All Things Thanks stamp set. The flower and silver boughs are cut with the May Flowers framelits. Of course I had to add a Clear Faceted Gem to the center of the flower. Don't forget the inside of your card, or your envelope...add a swirl with some burlap just for FUN!

That's it for today! I'm gonna go take a nap! I have another simple card to share tomorrow but I think I'll take next week off to spend with Adam and Kate because they have no school! I have lots of things to work on with the new Occasions Catalog starting on January 3rd! If you need one please let me know so I can get one out to you!  As always...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!
