"Make-It Monday" - Hello Friend

Good Morning and HAPPY MONDAY! Did you have a FANTASTIC weekend? I sure hope so! It went TOO FAST didn't it?!?!  Mine was a bit busy...I had a class on Saturday and my sister-in-law was here for a visit...we didn't get a hike in this time, but it's always great to see her and Maureen. She brought a delicious Spaghetti Squash casserole that we had with dinner one night! I LOVE spaghetti squash! Maureen made us a yummy pumpkin pie with fresh whipping cream! Did you know that it's best to make your whipping cream in a chilled, metal bowl? SO...it was a weekend of eating...hahaha and I enjoyed every bite!  Today I have lots of appointments...I have to set some things up for both of my brother's trust, meet with a guy about putting heating and air into my workshop and hopefully my soon to be bunkhouse and another guy is coming to give a quote for adding insulation to the attic of the bunkhouse!  I'm so excited to be moving forward...a bit!

I have a "Make-It Monday" to share with you today...it's from my up-upline, Stella McKay!

  • Card stock & paper: Sahara Sand (121043), Crushed Curry (131199), Whisper White (100730), Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper (144163)
  • Stampin’ Pad: Sahara Sand (126976), Crushed Curry (131173) and Emerald Envy (141396)
  • Miscellaneous: 5/8” Burlap Ribbon (141487), Classic Label Punch (141491), Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372), Layering Ovals Framelits (141706), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108), Paper Snips (103579), and household stapler

Measurements:

  • Sahara Sand card stock: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2 then folded to create card base plus 4” x 3” plus scrap for sentiment
  • Crushed Curry: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Whisper White: 3-3/4” x 3”
  • Burlap Ribbon: about 5-1/2”-6”

Instructions:

  • Using SNAIL adhere Designer Series Paper piece to Crushed Curry then to card front
  • Stamp “hello” with Crushed Curry on Whisper White. Position sentiment so it’s towards the top of the scrap then, using a stitched oval die, die-cut it out
  • Stamp flower from Pieces & Patterns using Sahara Sand onto left side of area below the “he” of “hello”
  • Die cut larger oval from Layering Ovals Framelits and layer beneath the white stitched oval with the “hello” on it
  • Fold Burlap Ribbon in half, trim at an angle with Paper Snips, spread points out, align behind the Sahara Sand/Whisper White piece and staple to edge so it peeks out a little over 1”
  • Stamp “FRIEND” in Emerald Envy on Sahara Sand scrap then punch out with Classic Label Punch aligning the punch so it’s only about ¼” from the right edge of the word. Once punched, using Paper Snips, trim off left point centering the word on the scrap as you trim
  • Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere “FRIEND” piece to “hello” piece so it slightly overlaps the flower.
  • Using regular Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere entire focal piece to card front.

That's it for today! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a GREAT day! ENJOY every minute of it!!
