Really Good Greetings

Hello and Happy Friday!  YIPPEE....it's the weekend!!  I'm headed down my mountain to go grocery shopping this morning...before it gets hot...but FIRST I have card to share with you!  It's a familiar sketch (I've used it twice this week)...because I LOVE IT!!!  I made it for the The Paper Players Theme ChallengeThe theme this week is "CUTE AS A BUTTON" and participants are suppose to use at least one button on their project!  Now this is a theme I can handle...I LOVE using buttons on projects!  This card is also a great card for the Color Throwdown challenge but I have another card I want to submit for that...maybe I'll use both cards...I have a few days to decide!  You should check it out and enter a project as well...it's so much FUN!

Back to today's card!!!  (sorry...I guess I am easily sidetracked!)

Here's the challenge....

...and here's my card!

Do you recognize that sketch?  The sentiment is from the stamp set Really Good Greetings....I think I'm gonna leave this card on my husbands pillow when I travel to Modesto to help my mom next week...or.. I could send it to my daughter the next week...as she is leaving for college on the 15th!  I chose the colors Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Real Red and Slate Gray!  They go great together!  I used the metal buttons because they look perfect with the Slate Gray.  I LOVE how it turned out!  I embossed the Bermuda Bay layer with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and punched the circle out with the 2 1/2" circle punch.  I added buttons from the Designer Button sets as well as some Candy Dots.  I finished it off with some Basic Pearls and Whisper White Bakers Twine!  I have lots of ideas for these colors and for this sketch...I won't share them all at once (I probably will take weeks to get them all done)....I REALLY don't want to BORE YOU!

Hey...thanks bunches for stopping by today!  Enjoy your weekend and be sure to check in on Monday!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!!

  3. Love the repetition of circles both on the embossing and the buttons. I also love the way you used the buttons to really help focus on the sentiment. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week. Jaydee
