A WONDERFUL Week of WATERMELONS

I'm back to share another watermelon project with you today!  It's another card!  VERY SIMPLE...but stinkin' adorable...I think!  I am definitely hooked on WATERMELON...in fact...I have one in the FRIDGE to cut up!

I really love the simplicity of this card...and it is so easy to make!  I cut my card base out of Old Olive cardstock and layered a piece of Whisper White cardstock on top....but first I ran it through my BIG SHOT in my Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  To make my watermelon I used the three largest circles from the Circle framelits...largest in Old Olive, next in Whisper White (I also think a light pink would be cute) and last in Melon Mambo (which I also ran through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder).  After layering and adhering the circles on top of each other I cut it in half and then into wedges.  This next part got a little tricky...you have to cut the Whisper White cardstock that you adhere the watermelon to according to the size of your wedge....not a big deal...you just can't pre-cut a bunch.  I love it layered on the Basic Black cardstock because it really makes it POP!!  Again I made the seeds with the small heart from the Owl Builder Punch.  I added a piece of Melon Mambo 1/4" ribbon and a sentiment from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set and VIOLA...STINKIN' CUTE!!

Here is a close up of the slice of watermelon an the sentiment!

Q: Why do watermelons have fancy weddings?

A: Because they cantaloupe.

  3. Great Post. In addition to beauty and serenity, flowers are frequently used to convey a wide range of other notions. Moreover, love can be expressed with this. If you want to see the beauty of such things, you can take these flowers to a variety of areas. Now you can order flowers online from your local flower shop in Winnipeg.
