Time to PLAY!

Good Morning and HAPPY TUESDAY!  I hope you had a FANTASTIC weekend! Camping was WONDERFUL! The first night I FROZE...and woke up thinking...I'm to old to tent camp! With a few extra blankets, some long socks and a hoodie...the rest of the trip was just PERFECT! It was so much fun to reconnect and hang out with old friends! 

Today...Adam starts his freshman year in high school and Kate starts sixth grade (junior high at our school)! I took them to school and now I'm OFF TO PLAY!! I hope you have as much fun as I'm gonna have!!!!  I'll see ya tomorrow with my creations!

Thoughtful Branches - Day Six

Today's card is just simply beautiful! I LOVE the new In-Color Sweet Sugarplum! There really isn't a theme for this card, which is kinda cool...because you can use it for ANYTHING...birthday, thinking of you, missing you, thank you...ENDLESS possibilities!

Thoughtful Branches - Day Five

Well...it's Wednesday and I'm heading down the mountain to go camping! You would think with where we live, we'd just go camping locally...but not this trip! We wanted to get away so we are going to Alpine Lake with some old friends from Modesto! There will be trails to hike, we're taking our inflatable kayaks to check out the lake, we'll be fishing! I can't wait! This is a new place to our family so we are VERY EXCITED! I'll share photos when we get back!

Today's Thoughtful Branches card has a LOVE theme. This card can be used for Valentine's Day, Anniversaries or just to say I LOVE YOU! I love the Soft Suede with Blushing Bride and Whisper White! GREAT color combination!

Thoughtful Branches - Day Four

Happy Tuesday friends! Lot's going on at the Watson house...trying to get ready to go camping! I only have two kids at home still...it should be easy...WAY EASIER than with seven kids at home...but I'm still running around like a chicken with my head cut off! A goal I have when I get back and the kids are back in school is to STOP flying by the seat of my pants and GET ORGANIZED!!!

Today's Thoughtful Branches card (from my up-line Sarah Wills at Sarah's Ink Spot) has a WINTER theme! It' simplicity makes it so pretty! I think it would look stunning with some snow falling, some Wink of Stella and maybe a snowman!  I still haven't played with this set...but my mind is going CRAZY!!

Thoughtful Branches - Day Three

Hey there friends! I hope your weekend was filled with fun and cherished memories!! We are leaving to go camping on Wednesday so I have lots of things to do to get ready. I have to make salsa, individual crustless quiches, macaroni salad and by special cheesy bacon ranch dip! DELICIOUS!!!

This week I will be sharing the rest of the Thoughtful Branches cards that my up-line sent me with different themes.  So far I've shared BACK TO SCHOOL and HALLOWEEN...today I want to share FALL/THANKSGIVING!

This card is so simple, but so great! The versatility of this bundle is AMAZING!! You are gonna LOVE it! I've already ordered this set for several ladies that attend my workshops...should be here this week!

Sunshine Wishes Summer Facebook Hop

Hello everyone!  It's Sunday and I'm blogging! I'm participating in a facebook hop this evening and I linked it to my blog for instructions...so I had to blog on Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your day!

The theme for our facebook hop is summer so I decided to make a card with a flower that blooms all summer long! You know I love DAISIES so I choose Gloriosa Daisy (Rudbeckia) for my card. I made the top daisy using Delightful Dijon cardstock and the flower from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  I cut the stem off and turned it upside down to get the look I wanted. Before adhering it I stamped my Whisper White cardstock with the Sunshine Saying stamp set. I also stamped another flower image using the same set and sponging some So Saffron ink in the middle. The centers of the flowers as well as the background are from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the sentiment on So Saffron cardstock with Black Memento Ink. The stamped image is layered over a piece of Old Olive cardstock and attached to the designer paper with dimensionals! I used Linen Thread to tie a bow. The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock!

I don't usually use so many layers on the inside of my cards, but I really liked the look of Whisper White on Old Olive on Basic Black and then onto the Crumb Cake! Before I adhered all of these layers I stamped half of the flower that I stamped on the front of the card. I had to finish it off with a leaf from the same stamp set (on both sides) because I couldn't get it just right! I added a flower center made from the same designer paper as on the front of the card! I almost forgot to mention that I cut those centers using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. I LOVE how it turned out...a really fun card!
