Petite Petals Thank you!
Good Morning...Good Morning...Good Morning!!! Today is going to be a GREAT day! I can just feel it!!! I already have a load of laundry finished, I've been to the gym, lunches are made...back to school today for the kiddos! LIFE is good and I have a cheery thank you card to share with you! I made this card using the Petite Petals Punch to punch my flowers and added Early Espresso Candy Dots (without the brad base) to the center. I purchased the Tea Lace Paper Doilies months ago, but haven't used them and I saw this idea in a magazine. It was a fun...happy card to make. I stamped the stems in Old Olive using the Simple Stems stamp set in the Occasions Catalog and cut the greenery with the Fringe Scissors in the same catalog. I added a piece of Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to finish it off and mounted it on a piece of Pacific Point designer paper from the Brights Paper Stack and then mounted it on Whisper White cardstock. My sentiment came from the Happy Watercolor stamp set, but you can use any sentiment...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, THINKING OF YOU, HELLO....so many options!!
The inside of my card is VERY SIMPLE, leaving plenty of room to write a note to a dear friend! I have to get my thank you written and in the mail today!!! I'm a little behind!!! Thanks for stopping in today! Hope it's a GREAT one for you too! I want to leave you with this...

the End, all that really matters isn't the things you did, but what its effects
are today, not the knowledge you have learned, but how you applied it, not the
words that were said, but how they made you feel, and most of all, not the
moment of occurrence, but how it’s now just a part of our memory.. Every day,
we make memories.. Let's paint lives with happy ones.."

PSST!
Here is the card I promised you yesterday...again using the Happy Watercolor stamp set. I also used the Watercolor Wonder designer paper. The colors are Island Indigo (a go to favorite of mine), Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green and Whisper White. I rounded the corners with my Envelope Punch Board.
I LOVE to do a little something on the inside of my cards as well...here is just a simple layer with a simple sentiment! It gives you a little bit of space to add a personal note.
Thanks for stopping by today! I LOVE sharing with you!!

YOU MAKE ME HAPPY
Today I am sharing with you another card that I made with the Happy Watercolor stamp set that I used in the Linky Party I am participating in. I want to show you how versatile stamps can be.
I am planning on doing a 14 days of LOVE for my VALENTINE...and this is my first card...I will have other cards and treats to share with you...COMING ATTRACTIONS!
This is a four layer card with the base in Basic Black, layer one in Smoky Slate, layer two in Real Red and layer one in Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment on the white cardstock with Real Red ink and then masked it by stamping it again on scratch paper, cutting it out and covering the already stamped words. After removing the mask, I stamped in Basic Black ink, the Dictionary background. I added a piece of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and hanging hearts to finish if off!
Making the hearts was simple and quick! Punch out two hearts with the Small Heart punch...stamp with VersaMark...sprinkle with Heat and Stick powder...heat with your heat tool to make it sticky, sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and heat again to make it permanent! I tied the hearts on with white Bakers Twine.
The inside of the card is layered with Real Red and Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the LOVE YOU sentiment in the Love You to the Moon stamp set also in the Occasions catalog. SIMPLE...but adds just a little something!
This being the beginning of a new year...I want to share a post that a friend had on her facebook (with her permission of course). It really made me think about the difference between a RESOLUTION and a GOAL!

A
resolution is an intention waiting for a plan. When we come up with our
New Year's Resolutions each year, we're basically presenting our wish
list. The resolutions we declare might be achievable or not. We'll never
know unless we decide to do something about them, which means devising a
plan of action, process of deciding what you want to accomplish and
devising a plan to achieve a GOAL. By definition, resolutions are
passive and goals are active.
NO MORE RESOLUTIONS FOR ME....ONLY GOALS!!!

Linky Party
Lots of FUN things are happening today...I have joined my first "LINKY PARTY" alias Blog Hop AND the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG is here!!!
Eight of us have joined together to share ideas on what can be created with different stamp sets from the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG! You can join in by clicking on the link at the bottom of this post and you will be able to add your creations!!!
My card was made using the Happy Watercolor stamp set in the new catalog. The colors I've chosen are Island Indigo, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Whisper White. I cut my circle background with the Circles Collection Framelits (which happen to be featured in this weeks WEEKLY DEALS!!!) I LOVE the new Basic Metal Buttons from the Occasions catalog...they really help finish the card off...along with a touch of Linen Thread, some Whisper White Bakers Twine and a Candy Dot and Brad Base.
To make the inside of the card I layered Crushed Curry cardstock on the Island Indigo base and topped it with Whisper White...stamped the background with two background stamps and the 'YOU MAKE ME HAPPY" sentiment...ALL from the Happy Watercolor stamp set in the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG!!!
The "linky party" that I have joined is with fellow SU demonstrators...all or whom chose as different stamp set to debut our NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG!

2014 Here I Come!!
Happy New Year!
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” —Mark Twain
This is the NEW YEAR! We can pass through another year on cruise control or we can step out of our comfort zone, try things that we have never tried before and make 2014 an extraordinary year!
