Beautiful Day

Good Morning everyone!  It's a BUSY Friday for me!  How's yours looking so far?  I hope you have a bit of time to create today!  I did this morning!  It's Facebook Hop time again so I had to make my card for that!  Go to my Facebook page at 5:00pm PST to see what I made...and follow along on to see some other FABULOUS creations!

For now I want to share some CUTE 3" X 3" cards that I made last night! 

Aren't these FUN?  I used the flower from the Beautiful Day stamp set, stamped the image in Memento Black ink onto the lightest peace of Wood Textures designer paper.  I colored the flower with Light Pool Party, Light Poppy Parade, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Call M Clover, Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend Markers!  SUPER FUN and quick! This is a great project to do while watching a San Francisco Giants game on TV with the family!!!  I adhered the stamped image to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and then to the 3" X 3" card.  I LOVE THEM!!!  I hope you'll give them a try!

Country Home

Hi again!  Happy Thursday!  I hope you are having a great day AND find a moment or two to create!

Today's card is created with FUN new products from the Holiday Catalog! My card base is Basic Gray cardstock measuring 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" with a 3 3/4" X 5" Whisper White mat.  I cut a strip of Chicken Wire Elements and glued it down with Multipurpose Glue. The stamp set I used is called Country Home and it is BEAUTIFUL!  I stamped the flower & cotton image onto a 2 1/2" X 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock in Soft Suede Ink and colored it with my Stampin' Blend Markers.  I used the Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Light Cajun Craze markers.  I stamped the milk can image, in Memento Black ink, onto a piece of the FABULOUS Galvanized Metallic paper then cut it out by hand and attached it with dimensionals.  When you stamp with Memento Black ink onto the Galvanized Paper, you do need to let it dry for just a few minutes!  I adhered my stamped image to a 2 5/8" X 4 1/8" piece of Basic Gray cardstock and attached it to the card base (over the Chicken Wire) with dimensionals!  Isn't it a fun card...and it feels like fall!

Good morning everyone! I told you yesterday that I'd have something EXCITING to share with you today!  

So here it is!!  I earned the trip to the Greek Isles last night...because of my delightfully loyal customers and my wonderful team!  THANK YOU!!!!  I appreciate you all so very much!!!

Dashing Deer in Winter Woods

Hello everyone!  HAPPY WEDNESDAY!  I have a class tonight that I need to finish getting ready for but I have a fun card to share with you today!  I hope it gets your MOJO going!!

Do you remember my Starry Night card, inspired by Van Gogh?  Well..this card's background is created the same way! My background is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Night of Navy cardstock.  I used my Touches Texture stamp set to SWIRL White Craft ink onto the cardstock then added some Wink of Stella for glimmer and shine!  The trees are cut with the NEW In The Woods Framelits (Winter Woods Bundle) from Whisper white cardstock and glued to the Night of Navy background with Multipurpose Glue.  I hand cut the snow from Sparkle Glimmer paper.  The deer is cut with the NEW Detailed Deer Thinlet Dies (Dashing Deer Bundle), using Silver Foil paper.  I added part of an Iridescent Boxwood Wreath (also NEW) around the neck of the deer and a few rhinestones to the sky to finish off the card!  I LOVE it and hope you do too!

Tuesday’s Tip - Embossing Folders

Hello there and good Tuesday evening!  Super late getting my video posted today...I had to go down the mountain and run lots of errands!  I also was able to meet up with my brother for coffee!  I don't get to see enough of him!!

The Holiday Catalog goes LIVE tomorrow and I wanted to share some great embossing folders with you.  They're easy to miss in the catalog so I thought a video would be FUN!

"Make-It Monday" Bubbles & Bubbly

Hello friends!  How's your three day weekend going?  Are you laboring only...getting chores done, or are you having a bit of fun too?  Today, I've cleaned the cobwebs from the front of the house, watered, deadheaded my flowers and went blackberry picking with my daughter and husband!  I don't know why, but I'm tired and ready for a TWENTY MINUTE NAP!!  Before I do though...I want to share this weeks "Make-It Monday"...maybe some bubbles and bubbly would do me some good too!

• Stamp Sets – Bubbles & Bubbly (wood 147380, clear 147383)
• Card Stock – Smoky Slate (131202); Thick Whisper White (140272); So Saffron (105118)
• Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black (132708)
• Misc. – Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends (144595); Daffodil Delight Combo Stampin’ Blends (144603); Bronze Stampin’ Blends (144607); Ivory Stampin’ Blends (144606); Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends (144042); Clear Wink of Stella (141897); Aqua Painters (103954); Iridescent Sequin Assortment (144212); Fine-Tip Glue (138309); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

       
Measurements:  

• Smoky Slate (base): 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
• Thick Whisper White (layer): 4” x 5 ¼”
• Thick Whisper White (banner): 5/8” x 2 ¾”
• Thick Whisper White (bathtub): 3” x 4”
• Thick Whisper White (towel): scrap
• So Saffron: 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”

Instructions:

1. Squeeze the closed ink pad of the Smoky Slate pad. Open the pad and pick up color from inside the lid using the Aqua Painter. Carefully add color along the bottom 1” of the Thick Whisper White layer as shown. Add additional color near the tub to create a shadow. The paper will pill from the water, which is fine since you’re after a wet bathroom floor look. Let dry.
2. Stamp the greeting using Memento ink on the Thick Whisper White banner. Adhere to the upper left corner of the card base using Dimensionals.
3. Stamp the bathtub and towel images using Memento ink on the Thick Whisper White cardstock pieces. Color in the images using the Stampin’ Blends. Cut out the images using your scissors.
4. Line up the bathtub image on the Thick Whisper White layer for placement. Stamp the bubbles image using Memento ink on the layer. Adhere this layer to the So Saffron layer. Adhere these layers to the card base.
5. Adhere the bathtub and towel images using Dimensionals. Color in the bathtub, towel, champagne glass and bubbles using the Clear Wink of Stella.
6. Adhere several sequins to the stamped bubbles using Fine-Tip Glue. Let dry.
