Tuesday’s Tip - Starry Night

Hello Everyone!  It's Tuesday and that means it's time for Tuesday's Tip!  I've been wanting to create this card for months now, but something else always comes up!  Today, I decided it's the day!  ENJOY!!  

My 

INSPIRATION
I think in my video I said this was inspired by Claude Monet...YIKES...it's ACTUALLY  by Vincent Van Gogh!!!

My Blueberry Bushel card base measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The Whisper White layer is 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" and my stamped image is Whisper White and measures 3 3/4" X 5".

The colors I used are Crushed Curry, Mango Melody, Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel and Memento Black!

The tools that I used are the Twinkle Builder Punch and Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Little Twinkle stamp set.

Last, I used Wink of Stella, Rhinestones and dimensionals!

I added some Wink of Stella to the inside of the card and I think I'll add a few rhinestones!  I LOVE how this card turned out!  It's cool that inspiration can be found in so many different places!

"Make-It Monday" Bouquet Blooms

Hello everyone!  Here it is Monday again!!  How was your weekend?  It sure did go by fast!!  I guess that's because school started today!  Adam is in 11th grade and Kate is in 8th grade!  I can't believe how fast they are growing up! It's a busy morning at my house... I had a hair appointment this morning...a cut and a highlight...the farrier came...AND they are putting the septic tank for my workshops bathroom in today!  YAY!!! EXCITING TIMES!!

• Stamp Set: Bouquet Blooms (146503) or bundle with dies (148403)
• Cardstock and Paper: Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack (146863), Pineapple Punch (146971), Calypso Coral (122925), Whisper White (100730)
• Ink: Pineapple Punch (147141), Calypso Coral (147101), Gray Granite (147118)
• Miscellaneous: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Gatefold Blossom Framelits (146354) or choose the bundle with stamp set (148403), Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372), Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143706), Share What You Love Artisan Pearls (146927), Calypso Coral ¼” Ombre Ribbon (144235), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Paper Snips (103579), household tape

Measurements:

• Pineapple Punch card base: 11” x 4-1/4”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded in half plus scrap that is about 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”
• Calypso Coral: 3-3/4” x 5”, scrap about ½” x 4-3/4”, and a scrap about 2” x 6”
• Memories & More card: trim to 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”
• Whisper White: scrap about 2-1/4” x 2-1/4”
• Ribbon: about 6” and a piece about 9”

Instructions:

1. Run Pineapple Punch card base and Calypso Coral ½” x 4-3/4” scrap side-by-side through Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder using Big Shot. Set aside.
2. Adhere Memories & More card piece to Calypso Coral cardstock with SNAIL Adhesive then do the same to adhere the ½” strip over the center horizontally.
3. Wrap 6” length of ribbon across the ½” strip after applying a dab of SNAIL to the center front (to keep it in place) and a short strip of SNAIL on each side of the back of the Calypso Coral cardstock to also keep in place. Secure back ends with household tape.
4. Stamp large circle image in Pineapple Punch ink onto same color cardstock.
5. Stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap then accent with Pineapple Punch curly-q’s.
6. Die cut both with appropriately sized Stitched Shapes Framelits (3” and 1-7/8”)
7. Wrap the 9” length of ribbon around Pineapple Punch piece and knot at left edge. Trim edges at an angle with Paper Snips so they peek out of left side at least 1”
8. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere Whisper White sentiment piece to top of Pineapple Punch circle.
9. Stamp three flowers with Calypso Coral ink onto same cardstock. Die cut flowers with Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Using SNAIL adhere two flowers directly onto Pineapple Punch circle at left. Using a touch of SNAIL on right edge of 3^rd flower as well as one Stampin’ Dimensional on left side, adhere so that it’s in the center and overlaps the two beneath it.
10. Affix the So Saffron Artisan Pearls to center of flowers.
11. Using 4 Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the center piece to card front.

LOVE You to Pieces - Heart

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY!  I hope your day is calm and running smoothly!  Don't you just crave calmness some days?  I slept horribly last night.  My husband got called out at 10:30pm and didn't get home til 4:30am and even after 29  years of marriage, I just don't sleep well without him next to me!  Needless to say, we slept late.  We enjoyed a late morning coffee and tea watching the hummingbirds feed, play and fight!  My watering chores are finished, I have a few more chores to do...but wanted to blog first so here I am!

Today's card is one of my favorites that I've made with the LOVE You to Pieces Bundle!  I hope you love it too!

The Whisper White card base is 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The 4" X 5 1/4" Whisper White layer is embossed with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder.  The Whisper White square is cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits and attached with dimensionals.  Before attaching it I did tie a bow, with piece of Linen Thread, around the embossed layer.  Next I used the Puzzle Pieces framelits (from the bundle) to cut the heart from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.  It is attached to the stitched square with dimensionals!  

I LOVE THIS CARD!!  I do hope you'll give it a try!

LOVE YOU...to Pieces

Hello everyone! How's your morning going?  I'm hoping you are all well!  I had a great day yesterday, teaching my class and spending time with some wonderful ladies!  Seventeen ladies came...it was TERRIFIC to see that they were all safe.  It was so nice to get hugs!  It was an emotional day!  Driving through the fire area was hard...it really made me realize just how MASSIVE it was.  It was heartbreaking to see.  My drive down the mountain will not be the same in my lifetime.  I'm glad that I stopped to take pictures on so many beautiful days and evenings...I'll have those memories forever! 

Today I'd like to share another card that I created with the Love You to Pieces Bundle!

This card has a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Whisper White card base.  The 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Gray Granite cardstock is embossed using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  The Whisper White circle is cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, the image is stamped in Gray Granite ink then attached with dimensionals.  The Real Red image is stamped with the same, Love You to Pieces stamp set and cut with the Puzzle Pieces framelits.  It is also attached with dimensionals!  The bow is tied with Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.  I'm thinking I might make several of these (in different colors) to sent to my kiddos!  Who would you give one to?

LOVE You to Pieces - Masculine Card

Hello everyone!  I'm heading down the mountain this morning to have my class in Redding!  It's the first time I've driven all the wall down since the Carr Fire started on July 23rd!  I'm so excited to see my ladies, to spend time with them and even grab a hug!  I'm so happy that they are all safe!  I am, however, dreading the drive...I don't want to see all the devastation that the fire caused.  I'm sure tears will be flowing as I drive...slowly, behind the pilot card.

Real quick I want to share a card that we'll be making in today's class!  

The Basic Black card base is 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The first mat is Whisper White and measures 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  Next is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is embossed with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder.  I used the Puzzle Pieces framelits to cut the puzzle pieces from Wood Texture DSP.  The sentiment is stamped onto a Stitched Shapes Circle in Memento Black ink.  It is from the Love You to Pieces stamp set.  The sentiment and the puzzle pieces are attached with dimensional and one of the puzzle pieces has a piece of Natures Twine tied in a knot around it.  The twine has been separated with a Piercing Tool.  Isn't this a FUN card...and a GREAT masculine card!  Simply change the sentiment for ANY OCCASION!

"Make-It Monday" - Make A Wish

Good Morning Friends!  I hope you had a WONDERFUL weekend!!  I'm sure it went to fast...they usually do!  I do hope you found time to create!  My husband went back to work today...we didn't get to go on the fun family vacation that we had planned (because of the fire & power outages)...but we did have a few days just to hang out!  I can't wait until he retires!  

I have a "Make-It Monday" to share with you today!  It's really festive and I hope you ENJOY it!

• Stamp Set –  Broadway Birthday (147067)
• Cardstock – Whisper White (100730) Basic Black (121045) 
• Ink – Memento Black Ink (132708)
• Miscellaneous – Layering Circles Framelits (141705), Candle Embellishments (146281), 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon (146250), Metallic Pearls (146282), Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (146277), Gold Foil Sheets (132622)

        
Measurements:  

• Whisper White cardstock  8 ½” x 5 ½:
• Whisper White cardstock   3 ¾” x 5”
• Basic Black cardstock    4” x 5 ¼”
• Broadway Specialty Designer Paper   3.75 ” x 2.5” (2)
• Scrap Whisper White & Scrap Gold Foil for circles
   

Instructions:

1. Score and fold the ½ sheet of Whisper White cardstock in half
2. Adhere 2-1/2" pieces of Broadway specialty paper to 4” piece of Basic Black overlapping in proportion of print that is pleasing to you
3. Wrap length of Black Satin Ribbon across front of card securing to back side of 4” piece of cardstock
4. Adhere layered/ribboned piece of Basic Black cardstock to front of card
5. Stamp “Make a wish” image with Memento black ink on Whisper White cardstock
6. Die cut stamped image with Layering Circles Framlelits
7. Die cut Gold Foil paper with scalloped circle from Layering Circles Framelits
8. Adhere Whisper White greeting circle onto scalloped gold piece
9. Adhere greeting to card front
10. Add three Gold Metallic pearls
11. Add 3 ¾” x 5” piece of Whisper White to inside of card
12. Stamp greeting of choice or add hand written message
